From India to Bali via Nepal and historical Indochina, Patrick Kersalé spent fifteen years following the routes of the expansion of Hinduism and Buddhism, tracking every living record of material and immaterial traces of Angkor Wat outside of its walls, including musical instruments and religious practices.

His research has also led to an interest in animistic and shamanistic beliefs in the regions. With two new films he has given us the benefit of his astonishing discoveries, including an approach to the world of sound from the Khmer city.
