In northern India, lives a nomadic tribe of dancers and musicians. Their name means “those who love snakes”. They are one of the most iconic tribe of the gypsies from Rajasthan : the Kalbeliyas.

Raphaël Treza, director and musician met this mythical tribe to discover their unique culture. We leave for the desert with Surumnath in search of a cobra which venom he sells. Then, we follow the production of charcoal with Biram’s family and take part in a wild honey hunt using unconventional methods. We are also given to observe the Gypsy technique of finding a rare and poisonous lizard, the Fucan, as well as what happens during a Kalbeliyan festival that no camera had filmed so far.

This film combines adventure with nature, and reveals the unique beauty of the original people of the Gypsy culture.
