“Water drums : an ancestral meeting” is a documentary that shows the strength of African roots in the Venezuelan musical landscapes. The descendants of the African slaves settled in Venezuela have used a very special musical practice of a rare beauty for as long as they can remember.

Clarissa Duque traces back the origins of this traditional practice, linking two continents, Africa and America in the aquatic sounds of their percussion.
